Since 2013, Hervé has been Director of the Satcom Line of Business in charge of telecommunications activities for Telespazio France. He began his career in 1994 at Philips TRT, which became CS Télécom, as a design engineer involved in the development of the first IP routers made in France. After two years at the CCETT (research centre run by TDF and France Télécom) industrializing software programmes for the research centre, he took his first steps in the space telecommunications sector in 2000, when he joined Polycom.

For this company - a subsidiary of France Télécom and Agence France Presse in charge of satellite broadcasting of all AFP content - he was Head of the Design and Engineering Department. When Polycom (then Fileas) was taken over by Telespazio, Hervé Postec joined Telespazio France in 2012 as Director of Operations for the Satcom Line of Business.
