Innovation and Downstream solutions

Together with EENA and European Institutions, we support the development of innovative solutions for European citizens' safety and security in close cooperation with actors from the whole operational chains:

  • Deployment of Advanced Mobile Location in Europe with EC HELP112 projects;
  • Development of a system for monitoring the health of workers, which includes an emergency communication functionality based on PEMEA standards, with EC H2020 WorkingAge project;
  • Galileo-based Emergency Warning Service proof of concept, with EC GRALLE project;
  • SBAS-based alerting capability demonstration in Subsaharian Africa, during the SBAS ASECNA project;
  • SAR/Galileo Two Way Communication service prototype and demonstration, with the EC SERENITY project.

Beyond these initiatives, we also manage the maintenance in Cospas-Sarsat French Mission Control Centre, SAR/Galileo Service Centre and support the operations and maintenance of the SAR/Galileo Service Centre with CNES.

Telespazio France also supports the development of innovative solutions improving GNSS performances through projects such as: FLAMINGO (precise positioning), 5GCHAMPION (hybridization GNSS/5G), GEONAV IoT (hybridization GNSS/UWB) and POMELO (precise positioning via 4G/5G).

HELP112

HELP112

Telespazio France led the HELP112 project, initiated by the European Commission, aiming at defining the best solution to transfer User GNSS based position data to PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Point) for E112 emergency calls with mobile phones.

WorkingAge

The WorkingAge project, initiated by the European Commission in 2018, aims at developing the WorkingAge Of Wellbeing (WAOW) Tool improving the health and well-being of people at work by supervising their working conditions and providing different types of advice through personalised technologies and friendly & intelligent human interfaces.

GRALLE

GRALLE

The GRALLE project, initiated by the European Commission in 2017, had the objective to define, design and demonstrate an efficient Galileo-based, low latency, reliable and highly standardized Emergency Warning Service to improve worldwide safety and security.

SBAS ASECNA

In the frame of SBAS ASECNA Phase B project, initiated in 2019, Telespazio France was involved in the specification of the ILS/OPS activities for the maintenance, logistics, management of obsolescence and also contributed to the Emergency Warning Service demonstration.

SERENITY

SERENITY

The SERENITY project, initiated by the European Commission in 2020 and led by Telespazio France, aims at prototyping and demonstrating a planned evolution of the SAR/Galileo service, to be fully integrated into the existing Cospas-Sarsat system: the Two Way Communication Service (TWC), one of the four planned evolutions of the Return Link Service.
