Telespazio France at the 52nd International Paris Air Show
26 June 2017
From 19 to 25 June, the 2017 International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget showcased the very latest technological innovations, attracting industry players from around the world.
Telespazio France was at the show to promote its satellite services, notably for the environment, energy and defence markets.
Invited by the French space agency CNES to the round table on international cooperation and development aid, Deputy CEO Corinne Mailles underlined the advantages of Telespazio’s operational geo-information and telecommunications solutions designed to support the efforts of developing nations. "For international cooperation in these domains, building public-private partnerships and combining space and business expertise, as well as space and in-situ data, is essential," she concluded, speaking alongside representatives from CNES and the French development agency AFD.
Through its EarthLab programme, Telespazio France is working with ethically focused structures to develop a unique data capture and analysis offering for populations under threat. To this end, it signed a partnership agreement with SME Hinov on the Aerocampus Aquitaine stand in the presence of Alain Rousset, President of the Nouvelle Aquitaine regional council.
The show also provided the opportunity to organize another gathering with new members of the Community of Ariane Cities (CVA) under the presidency of the association assured this year by Toulouse, represented by Mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc and industry partner Telespazio France, represented by Chairman & CEO Jean-Marc Gardin. This event is an extension of the programme highlighting careers in space and launchers presented last January.
